My Story

I am Felicity, the creator of Flissfloss. I design and make each individual item locally, in Auckland, NZ. Each design has your little one at its heart with quality natural, soft fabrics, and high integrity sewing, allowing them to have as much fun as they want and still be a long lasting apparel.

When I was little, I was nicknamed Fliss and my twin was Floss. We were dressed in unique and matching garments in cotton fabrics for play, and silky laces for special occasions. These were made by our creative mother, with me at her side.

Later as a young mother, frustrated by the tight fit and polyesters of 2+ kidswear from a flooded Asian market, or the high cost of French kidswear, I drew on my roots and made my own, as our mother did. I chose natural fabrics in linens, stripes, and polka-dots for classical, comfortable pants, shirts, and playsuits for my small boy and friends, calling my small range Flissfloss.

In today’s global urgency I believe it necessary to produce a garment which can be passed on, using sustainable fabrics that are ethically produced by local merchandisers, and made locally.

Introducing the eco kids range, using only 100% natural fabrics, you can have peace of mind knowing who has made it and how it has been made. I’ve divided the collection into two colourways for a mix-n-match, easy-to-select kids’ wardrobe.
